Late XVIIth- beginning XVIIIth century , Italy or Spain
The gilded and lacquered coasts of arms are carved in massive Portoro marble to represent two different noble families probably for their union .
The precious Portoro is called ” Black and gold marble of Portovenere ” in Liguria .
The two pieces are lightly different in the shape and mounted on iron bases.
