Pair of landscapes, depicting two scenes with a sheep and his sheperds, in two moment of the day, one painting has the light of sunrise and the other one of sunset.
We may refer to the painter Eugene Verboeckoven (1798-1881) Belgian artist who captured with precise realism the serene atmosphere of the life in the country.
The two paintings retain the teariness of colors and light shades of the first period of the 800, bringing us back to the idyllic paintings of the early XIX°.
Good state of preservation.
