Important roman cabinet .

Seventeenth century, Rome, Italy.

Large and magnificent all rosewood plated cabinet, with precious light inserts of thuya and elm . In the central comparment the sliding panels hide two series of small drawers, on the sky a star is designed with several coloured woods , small checkered light and dark floor, on the back an antique mirror. The several drawers was to collect precious items and papers. The classical and elegant architecture of the cabinet remembers the palace in Rome designed by artists as Borromini. These important furnitures sometimes was designed by famous architects, where they produce the same architectonic effect of the palaces.
